Most of us like to think we’re collaborative, participative kinds of leaders. In fact, as this article shows, most of us in our leadership training were exposed to the idea that as our colleagues mature we should do less telling and more selling.
Well, command and control isn’t dead. Sometimes you need to "just tell ‘em." The best thing about this article from the Harvard Business Review is that it implies that if we divide leaders into collaborators and the autocrats, one group finds it easier to become more like the other.
