What Keeps Employees Happy And Productive?

The results are consistently reproduced in study after study. We see this every day in our work, and we promote it constantly to enable our clients to achieve first class results.

To summarize Harvard Professors Amabilie and Kramer: Employees are happiest, engaged and most productive when they are "simply making progress in meaningful work." The most motivating thing that managers can do (more than pay, promotions or material rewards) is supporting "workers’ accomplishments—by removing obstacles, providing help and acknowledging strong effort."

"Promoting workers’ well-being isn’t just ethical; it makes economic sense."

On Labor Day, or any day, this is a good article to read from The New York Times, as well as a good management philosophy to put into practice.
